·         Assess the hazard(s) and site conditions,

·         Control t= he scene,

·         Rescue or render first aid to injured personnel, if needed,

·         Summon assistance, if needed,

·         Stop sour= ce of the release and utilize on site spill control materials to slow or prevent the spread of spilled material, if safe to do so,

·         Notify appropriate authorities, and

·         Assist as needed with cleanup operations.

·         Using appropriate personal protective equipment, shop personnel will use baking soda to neutralize the acid will pack any broken battery pieced to be returned to manufacturer.

·         HFD evacuate facility as appropriate.

·         Recommend the HPD initiate adjacent area evacuation as appropriate.
